Trash Your Resolutions
Resolutions are the biggest waste of time. I HATE seeing people trying to make resolutions only to see them fail.

If I were to ask you what your favorite part of your day was, how many of you would saying waking up in the morning? I would think very few of you actually here your alarm go off and jump out of bed, ready to take on the day full speed ahead. Morning just isn’t people’s strong point. Most people slam their alarm snooze button, roll out of bed, drag themselves through their morning routine, then chug off to the 9-5. And people wonder why they have bad days when their morning starts like this. If you can develop a morning routine that is positive, and you can get excited to wake up, you will see a drastic change in every aspect of your life. Your morning needs to be the most important part of your day.
I wrote a post about strength training for women awhile back and it has been one of my most read post on this blog (over 5,ooo views in 3 months! Thank you all for reading it). In that post, I basically called out women to stop being afraid of weight lifting and start getting after it. Today, I want to cover the same topic, but address to ALL of you reading this.
Yes – this post is about cars. Your car in particular. I am curious how you take care of your car.
Cars are a critical part of society. They get people from point A to point B. And that is important quest to do. Most people usually spend quite a bit on cars. With such a hefty price tag, most people do quite a bit to take care of their cars.
Honesty is a funny thing. Everyone swears they are honest individuals, but I have met very few people that are truly honest.
Now, when I saw honest, I am not talking about telling the truth. Although that is a big part of it, that isn’t what I am getting at. Being honest is not making excuses. It is finding a reason why you can make something happen, vs why not. It is living your life with no regrets, no excuses, and no limitations.
I have this certain mindset that I get at various times throughout my life. I call it “vacation mode” even though I fall into it even when I am not on vacation. I call it vacation mode because it is how I get when I go on vacations. You probably have been in vacation mode too. You are stuck in that moment where nothing else matters. You aren’t thinking about anything else. You lose all track of time. Nothing else matters except whatever you are doing.
If this is your first time reading anything on this site, first off welcome! I hope you find the information you are looking for. If you are new, you will find if you look through a few articles that I preach a simple, effective approach to weight loss and fitness. Real result. Simple results. Just results. This post goes right along these lines. If you are a regular reader, this post shouldn’t a be a surprise on what I am going to say, but I still think you should read it.
I am currently reading a book called “I Will Teach You To Be Rich” by Ramit Sethi. It is a basic financial book that has some amazing information (I say basic because it is, but I doubt you are doing what the book is saying!). In his book, he makes a very valid point about finances and ways to save/grow your money. I highly recommend this book for anyone that needs a straight forward, no BS book on finances and ways to automate your finances. But this isn’t a review of the book. Ramit poses a question to his readers: Do you want to be sexy, or do you want to be rich?
“If you don’t go after what you want, you’ll never have it. If you don’t ask, the answer is always no. If you don’t step forward, you’re always in the same place.”
The quote above basically explains that if you want something, go get it. Too many people think that if they hope enough, something will happen. When someone gets great results, I always tell them great job and keep it up. 99% say I hope so. Don’t leave your results up to hope or chance. You make your own destiny. You create what comes your way. But in order to make things happen, you need to make things happen. You need to take action. You need to do something. You either progress or regress, there is no standing still. What are you doing to progress?
I am a big thinker. So big, my mind sometimes runs wild. I will start with a simple project, a simple idea, or opinion then get distracted by something, then get distracted again, and again, and again until I forget what exactly I am doing. It isn’t until I bear down and focus on what I am doing and stay focused do I produce massive results in whatever task I am doing.
